Be your superhero: Gabriele Dell'Otto's manifesto.
Gabriele Dell'Otto is the guest of honour for the XXVII Edition of Torino Comics. She designed the poster Be Your Superhero.
"I tried in one image to represent the key words for this edition: inclusiveness, and reuse of old technology in an eco-sustainable manner, naturally combining it with the city Turin, explains the writer. I imagined a brave girl driving a large mecha - a Japanese robot with retro technology - in the style Conan, the boy from the future. Then I found many disused hydroelectric plants in Piedmont with large turbines, which inspired me to create a synthesis of proabilities and existing technology. Here is the summary: A proactive little girl, who dialoguates with nature and technology with her hand on a lever to control a robot. Why we can all be superheroes.".
