The Ohio Music Education Association is of the opinion that all students should be able to access high-quality music instruction from licensed music teachers, through comprehensive music programs at schools in general music, instrumental music, and choral education.
OMEA supports comprehensive music programs for general, vocal, instrumental and music education, state and national standards for music with assessments that ensure students are meeting high academic expectations, and licensing music teachers who have adequate time for instruction and appropriate materials for music programs.
