IDEA, founded in 1909, as the National District Heating Association continues to educate, connect and advance the industry of district energy around the world. IDEA began hosting an Annual Conference and trade show in 1909 and has continued to do so every year since. In 1988, the Campus Energy Conference was added and in 2007, an International District Cooling Conference.
