These fields are designed to address the future challenges the human race may face. This includes the search for new technologies in carbon capture and environment protection, as well as the search for renewable energy sources for sustainable development. Nanomaterials, a current subject in nanoscience and technology, are gaining a lot of attention. They are growing rapidly and explosively. Nanomaterials, and the manufacturing technologies that produce them, have been seamlessly integrated in many applications. These materials continue to demonstrate promising potential. They have been used in solar cells and fuel cells, as well as secondary batteries, supercapacitors and air and water purification. The development of new nanomaterials for clean energy and environmental applications is often required to enhance reaction kinetics. Understanding the physicochemical properties, structural, microscopic, and surface characteristics of nanomaterials are vital to achieving the efficiency, cycle life and sustainability required in different technological applications.
