Indonesia's cable industry has demonstrated its competitiveness with the production of telecommunication cables as well as power cables and other special cables like signal cables and wiring harnesses. In the power cable industry, there are 54 domestic factories with a total production capacity of 450,000 tonnes per annum for copper cables and conducting materials and 250,000 tonnes per annum for aluminium cable and conducting materials.

The Domestic Component Level of many cable products, and their derivatives, is extremely high. The TKDN of bare cable conductors and low voltage cables has exceeded the minimum TKDN.

According to the instruction of President Joko, the development of downstream industrial sectors must be accelerated by reducing raw material exports, thus creating independence for the domestic sector, including the cable industry.

Cable & Wire Indonesia will hold its 9th edition from 23 - 25 April 2025. It is expected that over 800 exhibiting businesses and 25,000 visitors to the trade show will attend in just 3 days. The event will serve as one of ASEAN's most promising one-stop platforms in the cable and wire industries.
