Colors of the stone * To Bead in True Blue * Artisan WorkshopsColors of the Stone takes place twice a year at the Casino Del Sol Resort, during the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. This is held in the months of September and February. To Bead True Blue and Artisan Workshops are combined to showcase the largest range of artisan crafts anywhere.The Winter event, which runs for eight days, features 1000 artisan exhibitions, galleries and workshops. The Fall event, which lasts four days, has 300. The event attracts attendees from all over the U.S., as well as 38 other countries. You can choose from a unique collection of handcrafted artisan products and purchase them directly from the artisans at great prices. This show features many products that are being offered for the first and by the artisans.Artisan Workshops offer handcraft and design classes that focus on the small production studios skills that are often overlooked for mass production. Anyone can take a workshop on subjects like beadmaking, jewelry design and knotting.
