We hosted some of the most innovative leaders in tech, equity, infrastructure, government and government who are changing the definition of "smart cities".

Adrianne Todman, 12th Deputy Secretary of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Todman, Deputy Secretary, has spent her entire career improving the lives of people and strengthening communities through housing.

From 2017 to June 2021, Deputy Secretary Todman was the CEO of National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. During her tenure, the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) was better financially and operated more efficiently. She also created a member-centric culture and advocated for policies and funding to help preserve and develop affordable housing.

Before joining NAHRO as Deputy Secretary, Ms. Todman was the Executive Director of DCHA Housing Authority (DCHA). Ms. Todman was the Executive Director of DCHA Housing Authority (DCHA). She implemented a national award-winning program to house veterans who are homeless. DCHA also increased homeownership opportunities for low- and medium-income families. DCHA also increased the availability of affordable units in sub-markets that are experiencing rapid growth. In addition, she oversaw 12 large redevelopment projects. Ms. Todman prioritized youth and workforce development services. She also commissioned the citywide assessment of housing needs for residents.
