LAND FORCES, the premier biennial International Land Defence Exposition in the region, attracts more than 700 international and Australian companies in 2021.

LAND FORCES 2022 will take place in Brisbane Exhibition and Convention Centre, Brisbane, Queensland from 4 – 6 October 2022. This event will serve as a central meeting point for Australian and international industry and defence, academia, and government. The Australian Army is currently undergoing the longest period of recapitalization and optimization since the Second World War.

Army is implementing service entry to the Rheinmetall Boxer Combat Reconnaissance Vehicles that it acquired under Project Land 400. It is also introducing Protected Tactical Vehicles, acquiring up to 450 new Infantry Fighting Vehicles as well as 30 Hanwha self-propelled Howitzers, 29 Boeing AH-64 Apache Helicopters, and upgrading its small arms, soldier systems, and communications.

Each of these programs provides opportunities for Australian industry not only to create and maintain a sovereign capacity for manufacturing, maintenance, and support of these systems but also to show capability to join international supply chain of their suppliers.
