For more than 150 years, TMS has been part of a tradition of connecting scientists and engineers to share research, collaborate on ideas, and build professional networks. More than 4,000 minerals, metals, and materials scientists and engineers from around the world gather for the TMS Annual Meeting & Exhibition each year, where they can present their work, learn from others, and build lasting connections with fellow members of their professional community. Programming typically consists of more than 70 symposia held in more than a dozen technical tracks that span the breadth of materials science and engineering. The event also features a full exhibit, poster sessions, networking and social events, awards ceremonies, invited keynote sessions, and more.

The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) is a professional society that connects minerals, metals, and materials scientists and engineers who work in industry, academia, and government positions around the world. We create networking, publication, and professional development opportunities by convening international conferences, publishing books and journals, administering awards, conducting short courses and training, and bringing together the professional community to address issues of common concern.
