Yunnan Tea Consumption Yunnan has the largest tea tree population in the world. It is also the birthplace of Dian black and Pu'er tea. The tea-planting area in the province has stabilised at over 6.1 million acres. The tea-picking area has also reached more 5.75 million acres. Total tea production has reached 375,000 tons. In 2018, "Pu'er Tea", the regional tea brand of the country, ranked first with a public brand value 6.41 billion yuan. Dian black tea ranked 25th, with a brand value 1.821 billion yuan.

Previous exhibitions The "2019 China (Kunming), International Tea Industry Expo", held at the Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center, (Guomao), concluded on April 29. More than 1,000 booths of international standards are located in an exhibition area measuring 21,000 square metres. Exhibits include tea, food for tea, clothes for tea, purple clay and ceramics, tea utensils and sets, handicrafts, and other thousands of products from the tea industry. The organizing committee has not released complete statistics, but it is believed that the exhibition brought more than 90,000. This allowed people to spend a peaceful time drinking tea and integrating tea culture in people's everyday lives. It also promoted a healthy lifestyle. The activities are also rich in form and content, attracting a wide range of domestic and international experts, scholars and merchants to take part in exhibitions and conferences, as well as visits and purchases. This effectively promotes the link between production and marketing.
