Liber 2021 will be held in Madrid, continuing the tradition of the International Book Fair, which alternates between Barcelona and Madrid. This fair is the main showcase for the Spanish Book Sector. It does so following the celebration of LIBERDIGITAL in 100% digital format in 2020, attended by 187 exhibitors from 8 countries and 2,102 professionals, including Argentina Mexico Colombia and the United States.

Liber 2021, the 41st edition of this event, organized by IFEMA MADRID, and promoted by Federation de Gremios de Editores de Espana, will take place in Madrid, incorporating digital advantages, with Guadalajara as the Guest City. This event is the largest international book fair in Spanish. It will offer opportunities for business to major publishing companies, and boost the book market.

The Book Institute will work with the Polish Institute of Culture to launch a joint initiative that will promote and disseminate Polish publishing to Spanish audiences, and also help them get to know some of the leading authors and publishers in the country.

This tribute to Poland forms part of a joint effort by the Fair and the Federation of Publishers' Guilds of Spain to enhance the internationalisation of Spain's book sector, and to establish stronger cultural and commercial ties with markets of high potential.
