Check it out! Check it out!The Missouri Day Festival in Trenton is the second biggest festival in the city. The Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors this event, which is held every year on the third weekend of October. The event brings thousands of people into the Trenton region. This is a fun event for all ages. Nearly 120 vendors from across the United States are available to adults and children. This event is well attended and many vendors return every year. Come out and play, eat, and have fun. A marching band contest is held in conjunction with the festival for all Missouri high schools. The festival theme in 2023 is "Honoring Grundy County Pioneers".HistoryAnnual Missouri Day Festival - Crowds exceed 10,000In Trenton, the Missouri Day Festival was founded in October 1984 in honor of our state's history. The Rock Barn, an octagonal-shaped limestone building on the National Register of Historical Places, is the focal point of the event. Missouri Day was declared by the Missouri General Assembly in 1915 on the third Wednesday of October. Arthur M. Hyde of Trenton, Missouri, was the Governor who proclaimed October 18, 18th, as Missouri Day.The Missouri Day Marching Band Festival has been added to the activities since 1997. Twenty-plus high schools marching bands compete in various areas at our festival. Many of them will be marching in Trenton’s large parade on Saturday morning. You can watch the bands at the C.F.
