About AMEC

The Africa Medical Expo and Conference (AMEC) 2019 is an annual hallmark event for the African Medical and Healthcare Sector. The event is the premier engagement and exchange platform for the health and medical industry, the youth and medical professionals in the continent. About 63 percent of Africa’s youth populations is under the age of 25 years whereas 75 percent of Kenya’s population is youth under the age of 30 years and these figures are expected to rise. Therefore, to be able to prepare for the future, the youth must be fully involved in the conversation, planning, and execution of the development agenda and in particular the Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Taking into account that Kenya’s President is a key Global Champion for Young People’s Agenda, Aremant Group recognizes and appreciates that we cannot have a conversation and solution space without involving the very custodians of the future towards achieving health care and thus creating wealth in a sustainable way. By engaging the youth’s medical ideas, inventions and innovations as well as leveraging on 4th industrial revolution; we will be able to move together in a viable way towards achieving UHC. In addition, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs, recognizes and support healthcare as a precursor to development. At the same time, the African Union (AU) through Agenda 2063 is committed to enhancing modern quality medical services for the well-being of the African population as well as commitment to enhancing health care and achieving a range of health targets by 2030.
