News and Events from Around the GlobeJanuary 16, 2024Hotel & Shop Plus Expo returns to ShanghaiHotel & Shop Plus will be a hive of activity at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre as industry experts get to work.Hotel & Shop Plus has served the commercial and hospitality industries in China for more than 30 years. The event in 2024 promises to be a one-stop platform for all commercial space needs, including design, lighting and technology, as well for hotel construction, operation and maintenance.This event will be a focus for hotel owners on details such as building, decorating, bathroom, ceramics, hardware, smart system, security management and collaborative office systems. The 210,000 square metre exhibition space will also include 80 forums. Over 2000 exhibitors, 124,000 buyers and 80 forums will be present.The overall boom of the travel industry in 2023 will bring a solid recovery to the industry. This was evident at the Hotel & Shop Plus expo last year. Other buyers from other industries attended, such as representatives from the real estate industry, retail and shopping centers, supermarkets and F&B owners.The event this year will be centered around a number of themes, including architecture and interior design as well as hotel investment and operations, lighting design and smart office. There will be a variety of activities, such as forum salons and design awards. Competitions and unique creative exhibits will also take place. The ultimate goal is to discuss the future of the industry, explore new knowledge and lead the new trend in commercial space.Several organisations have contributed to the event, including China Tourist Hotel Association (CTHA), China Commerce Association for General Merchandise (CCAGM), China Association of Lighting Industry (CAI), China Architectural Culture Centre and Sinoexpo Informa Markets.Design Week Shanghai, the Shanghai Architecture and Interior Design Week, will be held in 2024.
