The Energy and Environmental Systems Engineering degree program provides the diverse expertise needed by future actors and decisions in the energy and environmental fields. Students learn the skills needed to address climate change, air and water pollutants, waste disposal, sustainability, and recycling.

The diversity of our faculty makes a huge difference. This program equips graduates with the skills to evaluate, adapt, and design energy and environment systems from a technical, economic, ecologic, and social perspective.Students learn how to link the themes of mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineering with business. They develop a holistic systemic approach.The future lies in the hands the next generation – on campus and with its cutting-edge projects, HSLU offers the know-how and technology to help them take the risk and make a change.

Our students gain a thorough understanding of all relevant disciplines. We believe it is important to connect these disciplines through projects and specially-designed systems modules. These modules provide students with the methodological and specialist skills needed for an integrated analysis of energy and environment systems and their new design.Our degree program is taught entirely in English and is designed to prepare students for global challenges that they will face throughout their careers. They gradually improve their English language communication skills by analyzing international case study. They will also learn about the different perspectives of an intercultural environment.
