Cairo Fashion & Tex, the only international exhibition in Egypt specializing in textile, yarn, garment, trimming and accessories, is the world's first and largest textile and clothing trade show.

UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry has approved Cairo Fashion & Tex. A "UFI event", or exhibition, is a sign of quality and provides both exhibitors and visitors with assurances of a good investment.

The first Cairo Fashion and Tex was held in 1993 twice a year. In March (summer – spring) and September, (winter – autumn).

The event is under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Industrial Chambers. The CICC (Cairo International Convention Center), hosts Cairo Fashion and Tex on a large area (20000 m2 - 40000 m2).

The openings of the exhibits were attended by several ministers and ambassadors.Over 20 countries, including Turkey – Syria – Spain – Italy – China ­ India ­ Lebanon ­ Qatar — Pakistan _ Jordan _ Kuwait & KSA — have taken part in this event.
