Africa Food Manufacturing expo kicks off in Cairo-Xinhua

CAIRO (Xinhua), May 30 -- The 10th Edition of Africa Food Manufacturing, a major exhibition in Africa for food processing, packaging and distribution, opened in Egypt's Cairo on Sunday.

The three-day event, held at the International Exhibition Center in New York, brings together over 300 exhibitors representing various countries. They will be showcasing the latest technologies and trends from around the world, as well the latest innovations in the food production industry.

Ahmed Hussein told Xinhua that the fair was a good opportunity for companies to learn about new technologies and products within the beverage and food industry.

He added, "It helps us to find new markets beyond Egypt and build relationships with many companies in the field.".

The expo will be held in conjunction with regional branches of Fi Global, a leading trade show organizer for food ingredients, and ProPak Exhibitions, a leading tradeshow organizer for food processing and packing. This will provide 365 booths to allow the community to network, interact and gain knowledge via online and physical opportunities.

The AFM offers a Matchmaking Program this year. This program will help all visitors identify their interests and needs, and then match them with eligible exhibitors. It will also pre-arrange sideline meetings.
