The Ocean Technology Council of Nova Scotia, in partnership with Government of Canada and the Province of Nova Scotia, and the Centre for Ocean Ventures and Entrepreneurship, is proud to present H2O: From Home to Overseas Conference from Monday, June 3, to Tuesday, July 4, 2024, at the Halifax Convention Centre. Demo Day will be held on Wednesday, July 5, at COVE.

The Home to Overseas Conference is quickly becoming Canada's leading event in the ocean technology industry and attracts significant international participation.

Ocean technology is defined as a sector horizontal that covers technologies applicable to vertical sectors such as marine defence (offshore extractive or renewable), marine environment monitoring, maritime transportation, aquaculture and fisheries, and marine tourism.

Atlantic Canada and Nova Scotia, in particular, are home to a cluster of ocean industries, as well as ground-breaking ocean research. This region is rapidly becoming a global hub of oceans knowledge with the potential to contribute significantly to a number Global Value Chains related to the oceans sector. These include, but are not limited to: Marine Defence, Marine Energy and Observation Technology, Fisheries and Aquaculture Technology and Marine Transportation.
