The Osaka, Kansai, Japan 2025 Expo will be held primarily in Osaka but also in other cities. Visitors can expect to see flying cars, medical technology for the elderly, and hydrogen and ammonia powered vehicles and buildings.
The 2020 Dubai Expo is still ongoing after it was postponed a year by the coronavirus. Less than half the 150 countries Japan hopes to have at the 2025 Expo formally committed to coming.
The countries have taken longer to commit to the Osaka Expo, mainly because they are waiting until the Dubai Expo is over to decide if they will go. They also don't want to spend any money on the 2025 Expo because of the economic damage that COVID-19 has caused in the United States and abroad.
