The Fort "Krasnaya Gorka", is one of the two coastal forts in the Kronstadt Position of the Peter the Great Sea Fortress. The fort was constructed between 1909 and 1914 to defend against an attack by the German fleet. It was part a powerful artillery and mine position that protected reliably the approaches to Kronstadt, and St. Petersburg against the approach of large enemies ships. It is named after the nearby village of Krasnaya Gorka.
