This creates a more connected environment.IoT, of course, is a key component of digitisation in manufacturing. This process is often referred as Industry 4.0 or 'digitally networked society'. Slow-moving businesses will suffer from a declining level of productivity and a shrinking return on investment.IoT is a significant advancement over conventional SCADA systems (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), which are common on factory floors. SCADA systems don't 'talk' with other systems, such as inventory, production, logistics, and sales. Implementing IoT allows for a wider use of data by allowing wider interconnection.
