Inky, a former University of Tennessee defensiveback, refused to let misfortunes on the football field stop him from living a life of purpose. After a routine tackle became a career-ending injury in 2006, Inky's perception of normal changed. Normal is now paralyzing the right arm. Normal is daily pain. Normal is a constant set of physical challenges. Normal includes inspiring athletes and mentoring others.

Inky doesn't dwell on the things he can't accomplish. Instead, he chooses to focus on all the positives he can achieve, despite his obstacles - a lesson that can be applied to any business audience. He didn't let his injury ruin his motivation or derail his spirit. He instead harnessed his inner strength and turned what could have been an abysmal tragedy into an inspiring success story.
