Scottish Engineering, the industry representative body and membership for manufacturing and engineering, in Scotland, was announced as the headline sponsor of the Scotland Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition. The event will be held at the SEC Glasgow from 23rd to 24th October, 2024.

The Scotland Manufacturing and Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition, which will include a comprehensive programme of conferences and a large exhibition area showcasing business solutions and the latest technology, will showcase the challenges and trends facing the Scottish industry. It will also offer practical solutions and display the latest innovations and developments in best practices, as well as new technological advancements.

The event will be a national platform to connect key stakeholders in Scotland across all manufacturing and engineering supply chains, including energy, renewables and transportation, as well as aerospace/space and marine, security and electronics.

The Government of Scotland has committed to increasing investment and improving productivity in manufacturing to help redress regional disparities and grow the Scottish Economy. Initiatives like the National Manufacturing Institute for Scotland and the Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre are driving innovation and establishing links with academia. They also encourage businesses to use new technologies in order to increase efficiency.
