The South Florida GIS Expo, an annual free conference sponsored by the Palm Beach Countywide GIS Forum, features many great vendors. We are glad to be back at Palm Beach County Convention Center. Expo is a place for collaboration, education, networking and training in the rapidly growing professional GIS community of South Florida. You are all welcome to this incredible event!

Volunteers run the South Florida GIS Expo. Every year, the Expo Committee and volunteers volunteer their time to make this event possible.

Dr. Michael Tischler is the Director of the National Geospatial Program at the U.S. Geological Survey.

Palm Beach County Convention Center, 650 Okeechobee Boulevard West Palm Beach FL 33401.

Dr. Michael Tischler serves as the Director of U.S. Geological Survey's National Geospatial Program (NGP). The NGP is the USGS's digital geospatial foundation. It is responsible for planning, designing, and executing the national topographic map program. Dr. Tischler is responsible for the management and direction of the NGP, including The National Map and the National Geospatial Technical Operations Center. He also oversees the 3D Elevation Program and the National Hydrography Dataset. Research activities at the Center of Excellence for Geospatial Information Science are also performed by Dr. Tischler. Dr. Tischler is also the representative of the Department of the Interior to the Domestic Names Committee of the U.S. Board on Geographic Names. Before joining the USGS Dr. Tischler was the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Geospatial Research Laboratory, Alexandria, VA, providing technical and strategic oversight to a range of geospatial research projects.
