"I research and collect fabric details, construction details, and silhouette ideas all year. The Premiere Vision New York Textile show is where I start, as they are two years in advance of the market. I look for trends, standouts and themes. For instance, I fell for a Chantilly lace made from hand-pressed satin daisies that was designed by a Dutch textile house. This lace became the focal point of my collection. I ordered 10 yards each of eight different fabrics, and waited for two months until they arrived from the mills.".
