The University of Porto's Faculty of Fine Arts (FBAUP), is a reference institution for teaching, research, production, sharing and promoting culture in the fields of art and design, and their intersections with other areas of knowledge.
Located in the centre of the city of Porto, the FBAUP is committed to the involvement with the local community and actively collaborates with regional and national organizations. Additionally, it maintains partnerships with dozens of similar European institutions, favouring the exchange of diverse educational and cultural experiences.
The FBAUP is rooted in the Aula Publica de Debuxo e Desenho 1780. It reflects the past and present, develops a contemporary culture in arts and design and remains open to new challenges. FBAUP is proud of the recognition and awards that have been given to many of its graduates in professional and artistic contexts both locally and internationally.
