Emanuel University of Oradea is a private Baptist university based in Oradea, Romania. It is operated by the Union of Christian Baptist Churches in Romania.
Emanuel University of Oradea was founded in 1990 as Emanuel Bible Institute, a branch of the Emanuel Baptist Church of Oradea. It was an underground Bible school that trained the future pastors and missionaries of Communist Romania. [1]
In 1998, the school became "Emanuel University".[2]
Emanuel University of Oradea, an evangelical Christian university, is the only one in Europe to be accredited by the government. It operates under the spiritual authority of Emanuel Baptist Church of Oradea and the academic authority of Romanian Department of Education, which was granted the accreditation. [3]
