Avicii Arena ([2] formerly known as Stockholm Globe Arena and Ericsson Globe but more commonly called Globen in Swedish (pronounced [glu:ben]; \"the Globe\") is an indoor arena that can be found in Stockholm Globe City in the Johanneshov district, Stockholm, Sweden.

The arena is the Sun in the Sweden Solar System. It is the largest-scale model of the Solar System.

Avicii Arena, the largest spherical structure on Earth, took two years to construct. It measures 110m in diameter (360ft) with an inner height of 85m (279ft). It has a volume of 605,000 cubic meters (21,400,000 cuft). The building can hold 16,000 people for concerts and shows, and 13,850 for hockey. There are 40 VIP boxes in the upper level and a restaurant.

A MERO space structure supports the steel, concrete, and glass construction that was designed by architects Berg Arkitektkontor AB. It is the Sun of the Sweden Solar System, which is the largest scale model of our Solar System. [4]

Globen was officially inaugurated on February 19, 1989, after a construction period that lasted less than three years.Melodifestivalen and the Ice Hockey World Championships were the first major events.

Ericsson acquired the rights to name the Stockholm Globe Arena in 2009. It became the Ericsson Globe. [5]

The arena was renamed to the Avicii Arena in 2021 in honor of late Swedish DJ Avicii. He died in 2018. The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra recorded a rendition of \"For a Better Day\" by Avicii, with vocals by Ella Tiritiello (14 years old). [2][6]
