AGH UST scientists were involved in the design of state-of the-art systems and solutions. These were applied in the longest nonurban tunnel in Poland. Underground passages on the most desired motorways in south Poland will alert users to toxic substances and fire hazards and provide special communication for the deaf.
Researchers at the AGH University of Science and Technology are working on piezoelectric sensors to detect damage and locate composite elements in aircraft structures. This project involves many European public and private institutions. It aims to extend the lifecycle of composites used for airplanes, and optimize the energy needed to make them. In the end, it will reduce the environmental pressure.
