The Sant'Anna School is a public institution. It plays a role in the community by proposing as a centre of reference for avantgarde training. There are four areas. These include the first level training for students of I and II levels; the Seasonal Schools, which offer training paths of excellence with strong interdisciplinary characters; and advanced training through MSc degrees and PhD programmes. The research activity is interdisciplinarious and interacts with the scientific, economic, social, and cultural worlds. This allows for complex issues to be addressed to bring about the change and innovation that the world requires.
