New Shougang High-end Industrial Comprehensive Service Zone (Shougang Park for short) is located at the intersection of the west extension line of Chang'an Avenue and the green ecological corridor of Yongding River. It covers an area of 8.63 square kilometers and has unique advantages in geographical location, space resources, historical culture and ecological environment.
Shougang Park has convenient transportation. Lianshi Road and Fushi Road on the north and south sides of the park are connected to the fifth and sixth ring roads and Beijing urban expressway system. Beijing's first maglev line S1 passes through the north of the park.
In November 2017, the "Detailed Planning of the North District of the New Shougang High-end Industrial Comprehensive Service Zone" (North District of Shougang Park) was officially approved by the Beijing Municipal Planning and Land and Resources Management Committee.
Shougang Park has been included in the country's first batch of urban old industrial area reconstruction pilots, national service industry comprehensive reform pilot areas, national sustainable development experimental areas, Zhongguancun national independent innovation demonstration areas, national smart city pilots, and Beijing green ecological demonstration areas.
In terms of space construction, the large-scale construction of the Shougang Park project has been started and completed for acceptance. The Winter Olympic Plaza, the Industrial Heritage Park, and the Shijingshan Cultural Landscape Area have all been completed before the Winter Olympics.
