Gandhinagar is the capital and head center of Gandhinagar district. The capital is home to four Talukas, or sub-districts, namely Mansa (Kalol), Dehgam (Dehgam) and Gandhinagar. Capital includes all department head offices, secretariats for all departments, ministers offices, ministers residences, legislature house and all other important offices. The city houses the government and private residences. They can be divided into 30 different sectors. The capital is home to people from all walks of life.
Tourist spots include the world-famous Akshardham temple complex, Sarita Udhyan, and gardens at Sector 28.
