Brookshire Grocery Arena[4] is a multi-purpose arena that seats 14,000 people, located in Bossier City (La.). In 2021, the Brookshire Grocery Group of Tyler (Texas) purchased the naming rights.

The center was opened in 2000 under the administration of George Dement, then Mayor of Bossier City. It is one of several projects that were partially funded by revenues from the three casinos in the area. [5]

The center housed the Bossier–Shreveport Battle Wings AFL and Bossier–Shreveport Mudbugs AHL teams.

In 2001, it hosted the Southland Conference men’s basketball tournament. The CenturyLink Center hosted the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament's 1st- and 2nd-round games. This included the final two games of Texas A&M's eventual champion Texas Tech Lady Techsters.

UFC 37: High Impact was an event in mixed martial arts that took place at the CenturyTel Center, Bossier City (La.) on May 10, 2002.

The NHL visited the arena on September 28 2002 for a preseason game between the Atlanta Thrashers and Nashville Predators.

The arena hosted the CHL All-Star Game on January 14, 2007.

CLC hosted a preseason NBA game on October 24, 2014 between the Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans.

The Bossier City Council rejected a pay increase for city employees in December 2014. This was according to Mayor Lo Walker's proposal. Jeffrey D. Sadow, columnist, attributed the inability to raise municipal funds to the high operating costs of CenturyLink. This cost $1,500 per resident or $55.6million, almost $20 million more than was anticipated by officials. The city spent $5million more to run the center in 2013. The CenturyLink was abandoned by minor league sports teams that were unable to sustain themselves. The city still had a deficit of $200,000. These costs could have paid for Walker's pay raises. Sadow suggests that CenturyLink be sold at a loss by the city so it does not become a permanent white elephant in municipal expenditures. [6]
