Caras Park - Downtown Missoula Partnership
Downtown Missoula Partnership is a partnership of: Business Improvement District. Missoula Downtown Association. Missoula Downtown Foundation.
The Caras Park Pavilion is located in Downtown Missoula, along the Clark Fork River. It can be used for private and public events. The Pavilion can host events from a 150-person dinner party to a community festival.
Missoula Downtown Association maintains, leases and manages Caras Park. It is available for public and private events. Over the past 12 years, Caras Park has hosted more than 1000 events. Nearly one million people have been drawn to this premier park on the Clark Fork River. It is a major economic driver in Downtown Missoula and brings people together in a way that no other Missoula location can. Caras Park hosts many exciting events, such as Out to Lunch and Downtown ToNight.
Caras Park's future is bright but it needs to be improved and invested in. The white canopy has reached the end of its 15-year lifespan. A permanent sound system would make it a reality for entertainers, performers, and attendees. To ensure that future generations enjoy the same experience, the Pavilion and Band Stand need to be maintained on an annual basis. A Caras Park Endowment has been established.
The MDF Caras Park Fund Endowment was created in 2017 to help with long-term maintenance and improvements. It was made possible by an anonymous donation to the Missoula Downtown Foundation. MDF, a 501(c),(3) non-profit organization, has the mission to support and promote Missoula by enhancing Downtown.
