Frank Lloyd Wright first proposed a design in 1938 for Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center. In 1997, Wright's architectural vision for Madison was realized. It would be a curvilinear gathering spot linking the shore of Lake Monona and the State Capitol. This vision has been a dream for 59 years.

Construction Hours: Daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm, except as noted below.

Rooftop Hours: Sunday through Thursday 8:00am-10:00pm Friday/Saturday, 8:00am-midnight (closed inclement weather).

Hours of operation for the Gift Shop: Tuesday through Saturday: 11:00am to 3:00pm.

Monona Terrace was officially certified \"green building\" at Platinum Level by U.S. Green Building Council's prestigious LEED program in November 2021.

Frank Lloyd Wright's original design for a \"dream Civic Center\" was his architectural vision for Madison-Monona Terrace in 1938.
