Vinexpo Hong Kong

WELCOME TO VINEXPO HONG KONG!

Launched over 20 years ago, Vinexpo Hong Kong is the most renowned international trade show for professionals in the wine and spirits industry throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The next show will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. For many years now, the global consumption of wine and spirits has been driven by the Asian market. With its positive business environment, Hong Kong has emerged as a key location for networking in the industry and a strategic trading platform.

The three days of the show will be punctuated by meetings, innovative ideas and networking opportunities between importers, sommeliers, and producers from all over the world. This year, Chile will be the show’s “Country of Honour” in partnership with Wines of Chile, an event in itself at the heart of the show.

Vinexpo Hong Kong

Vinexpo Hong Kong is seeing a marked increase in Chinese visitors (+10% in 2018) correlating with the expected 1,500 exhibitors coming from over 30 producer countries. The exponential growth in the consumption of imported wine across China, coupled with an awareness of key players and major promotional campaigns are combining to attract high-quality visitors. Vinexpo Hong Kong welcomes buyers and networks in import/distribution for Asian markets experiencing strong growth such as Hong Kong and Australia. The second-highest number of visitors was Hong Kong, confirming its important position as a mature market and an Asian hub.

Strong demand growth in wines

Strong demand growth in wines from France (+10.2 million), Italy (+2.3 million) and Portugal (+6.7 million) is forecast by 2022, as well as continued growth in Spanish wine (+10.8 million). Following on from the trend of the past five years, Chilean and New Zealand wine should also feature among the fastest-growing imports with a combined total from now until 2022 projecting at 16 million cases. Chile will be the country of honour at Vinexpo Hong Kong.
