According to recent reports, OPEC controls 81.9% the world's petroleum reserves. Iraq has the 4th largest crude oil reserves among OPEC member countries, behind Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and Iran (at the end of 2015). Iraq is ranked 2nd in crude oil production after Saudi Arabia.
