2024 PURDUE SCHOOL. Purdue Road School: 109 Years Innovation and Collaboration.

The 109th Purdue Road School Transportation Conference and Expo took place on March 14-15 2023. Purdue University's Executive Vice President of Research Karen Plaut addressed the attendees during the Opening Session. She highlighted the growth of the annual conference, which has increased from 75 participants in 1915 to more than 3,000 representatives of state and local agencies and industry in 2023.

The opening session featured a Fireside Chat between Indiana Governor Eric J. Holcomb and City of Noblesville mayor Chris Jensen. Richard Hedgecock, Indiana Constructors, Inc. president, moderated a discussion on Indiana transportation infrastructure, and the impact of investment in the state.

The Road School Exhibit Hall, held on March 14-15, provided attendees the opportunity to network with 52 exhibitors and collaborate. Students were able to present their research at the Student Poster Session and interact with transportation professionals from all over the state.

The event featured more than 190 technical sessions with nearly 400 speakers. Road School presentations are archived in the Purdue Libraries' online repository and are available for viewing at http://docs.lib.purdue.edu/roadschool/. Purdue Road School Archives provide a rich and varied history. They have more than 1 million downloads of proceedings that date back to 1924.
