The hotel was ok, but Panyu was different with guangzhou. Not high building, not commecial street, the feeling was like you were at countryside. Very hard to go to Beijing Road becasue it's 20 KM from down town guangzhou, although it was told near MTR nearby. but the MTR was tooooo crowed with old man and woman who was free to take it. And when the peak time of the fair, taxi was really hard to find. Overall, if you come here for silent, it's a good choice.

The restaurants here were excellent, albeit a bit boring after a few weeks. The spa offered many (legitimate!) services for the weary traveler, along with a full pool, sauna, and exercise room. The breakfast buffet was a great mix of local and western fare, and the servers were great! Striking up a conversation in English or (broken) Mandarin was entertaining for all involved. The rooms were spacious, with great access to Pan Yu Square.
