I used this Regal, as many do, as a transit hotel during a layover (13hrs) between flights. (The hotel is attached to the airport).
Upon check in, discovered a letter from the manager stating the renovations are taking place until June 08 and they are sorry if there is noise, (they have done what they could to minimize it). I did not have a problem with construction noise, but judging by the water damaged texture of my bathtub (felt like standing on dirt clods) my room was obviously on the "to be renovated" list. Additionally, mildew build-up and stains in the bathroom indicated that the cleaning staff was less than thorough.
The room decor was pleasing, although there were a few tacky things (like the alarm clock being screwed to the night table) that, in my opinion, along with the cleanliness issues were not appropriate in a facility that charges $200+ USD a night.
Room service in the morning was a good meal, although it was delivered significantly later than the estimate of 30 minutes.
I noticed that this hotel was doing much to promote its spa, half dozen restaurants, etc. Considering much of the clientele of this property is not resident long enough to enjoy these facilities, it would be better if the management would concentrate more on the basics than on these extras. Perhaps this will change when the renovation is finished in a few months.

We stayed 4 nights in Regal Airport Hotel from 14-18 May 08. We were there for a business convention.
Hotel is big, with all the necessary comforts that u would expect from a 5 star hotel. Service was prompt, but cold.
There was no renovation, noise as reported by other travellers. We had very peaceful sleep throughout our stay.
The airport was just a few minutes walk away, connected by a walkway. We usually walk over to the airport for our meals, very wide selection there.
Overall, our stay was enjoyabe.
